We’re thrilled to share that TruRating has been shortlisted for two awards at the Retail Systems Awards 2026 Data Analytics-Driven Retail Award and Most Disruptive Retail Technology.
The Retail Systems Awards celebrate technology excellence and innovation across the retail sector. They bring together some of the most forward-looking brands, platforms and partners in the industry. For us, this shortlist is about more than recognition. It reflects the growing role of real-time customer insight in helping retailers improve execution, validate decisions faster, and connect frontline experience to business performance.
Why this Retail Systems Awards 2026 shortlist matters
The Retail Systems Awards shortlist is exciting because it speaks to a bigger shift in retail. The conversation is no longer just about collecting more data. It is about making data more useful. Retailers want insight they can trust, act on quickly, and use across the business. They want to understand what customers are experiencing in-store, which service moments are making a difference, and where small operational changes can have a real impact.
That is exactly where TruRating fits. By capturing feedback directly at the point of payment and linking it to verified transaction data, TruRating gives retailers a live view of customer experience as it happens. With response rates averaging over 80%, that signal is both immediate and representative. It helps retail teams move from broad assumptions to much clearer answers.
For us, that is what makes this shortlist so meaningful. It reflects the value of insight that is practical, timely and tied to outcomes.
Data Analytics-Driven Retail Award
The Data Analytics-Driven Retail Award shortlist recognises technology that helps retailers do something useful with data, not just report on it. That has always been central to TruRating. Our platform helps retailers see which frontline behaviours are shaping spend, conversion and loyalty, and where those behaviours are being delivered consistently across stores, shifts and regions.
Often, the most important drivers of performance are not dramatic changes. They are small moments that happen every day on the shop floor, such a thoughtful recommendation, a helpful product demonstration, a smoother checkout interaction, or a service moment that makes the customer feel seen. These actions can be easy to miss in traditional reporting, but they matter. And when retailers can measure them clearly, they can coach them more effectively.
That is part of what our award entry set out to show. The strongest retail analytics do not stop at insight. They create focus. They help teams understand where value is being created, where opportunities sit, and how to prioritise action in a way that feels realistic for store managers and frontline teams.
This is also where TruCoaching adds a new dimension. Built on TruRating’s point-of-payment feedback and transaction-linked analytics, it helps translate staff behavioural insight into simple weekly coaching priorities. Instead of asking managers to improve everything at once, it gives them one clear area to focus on, backed by data and framed in a way that supports action. That makes improvement easier to embed into the normal rhythm of store operations.
Most Disruptive Retail Technology Award
The Most Disruptive Retail Technology shortlist feels especially meaningful because it reflects what TruRating has changed in retail. For a long time, physical retail has had to work with delayed, fragmented feedback. Sales data can show what happened, but not always why. Surveys can capture sentiment, but often too late and from too few customers to guide day-to-day decisions. Mystery shopping can be useful, but it offers only a snapshot.
That’s why we introduced something different. Our patented one-question survey is embedded directly into the payment journey, while the experience is still fresh and tied to a real transaction. That changes feedback from something retrospective into something operational. It gives retailers a much clearer signal of what is happening in-store, store by store and shift by shift.
That shift matters because it opens up new possibilities. Retailers can validate whether a service behaviour is landing well. They can see whether an in-store initiative is improving the customer journey. They can understand how experience and execution influence commercial performance in a way that feels grounded and immediate.
That is what makes the technology disruptive as it changes the role customer feedback can play inside a retail business. It makes feedback more usable for store teams, more meaningful for operational leaders, and more commercially relevant for senior decision-makers.
A word from Georgina Nelson
“We’re absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for these awards. What makes this recognition so special for me is that it’s really a reflection of the work happening on the shop floor, every single day. Retailers leaning in, listening to their customers, and then actually doing something with what they hear. Because feedback shouldn’t just sit in a report somewhere. It should help teams understand what’s really happening in their stores, in the moment, and give them the confidence to act.
That’s always been our belief at TruRating… that when you connect customer experience directly to real business outcomes, it stops being a ‘nice to have’ and becomes a true performance lever. A huge thank you to the judges for the nomination, and finally, a huge thank you to the incredible TeamTru, none of this happens without you.”

A long-standing history with the Retail Systems Awards
This year’s shortlist is also special because it builds on a long-standing history with the awards. Over the years, TruRating has been proud to be recognized by the Retail Systems Awards for the role our technology plays in helping retailers improve customer experience and performance. That includes winning Customer Experience Innovation at the Retail Systems Payments Awards 2024, Data and Analytics Company of the Year in 2023, and Partnership of the Year alongside Ingenico in 2018.
We’re grateful to the Retail Systems Awards for their continued support over the years and for recognizing the work being done to help retailers turn customer feedback into better decisions and stronger performance.
